The production work is smooth as hell, with trap-inspired rhythms, looped synths, and a minor key setting. “Savage” is an excellent opener that keeps it short and sweet (just hits the three-minute mark). The album's lead single, "When We," debuted at number one on the Adult R&B Songs chart and became his first US Billboard Hot 100 entry in over a decade.
